Set up once by us, everything else runs by itself: the luminaires test themselves, report every fault straight to the app and keep the logbook up to date. No walk-rounds with a clipboard, no scanning every luminaire, no paperwork.
The NOTLUX app shows the status of every single emergency luminaire in your building. Series 19 luminaires carry out their function and duration tests themselves, pass the results from luminaire to luminaire via a Bluetooth mesh, and a gateway connects the system to the app. You see faults immediately, test records are created automatically and can be exported as a PDF for fire inspections, experts or insurers.

How the app works
At commissioning we register every luminaire once and assign it to floors and rooms. After that, nobody needs to scan a luminaire again.
Function and duration tests run automatically at set times – to EN 62034, without anyone walking through the building.
The luminaires pass their results on from one to the next. A gateway connects the system to the app – no extra data cable to each luminaire.
Every test is recorded with date and result. Export the digital logbook as a PDF with one click.

Who gets access? As a customer you always get access to the NOTLUX app – it always comes with our luminaires. If you sign a maintenance contract, we get access to your system as well: we see faults, plan replacements and carry out the annual on-site inspection.

Which devices does the NOTLUX app run on?
The app is available for iOS and Android – iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets.
What does the app cost?
The app always comes with NOTLUX luminaires and is also included in the maintenance contract. You receive a quote for your system after the free on-site survey.
Does the emergency lighting need internet access?
The luminaires connect to each other via Bluetooth mesh, so no extra cabling is needed. A gateway connects the system to the internet so the data reaches the app.
Do I have to scan every luminaire with my phone?
No. We register all luminaires once at commissioning and assign them to rooms and floors. After that everything runs automatically via the app.
Does the app replace inspection by a qualified electrician?
Not completely. Self-tests take care of the regular function and duration tests and the documentation. The annual on-site inspection, the visual check and the illuminance measurement every five years under EN 50172:2024 remain – with a maintenance contract we handle them.
Is the digital logbook accepted as proof?
Yes, provided it is complete, traceable and protected against later changes – the standards do not require paper. Date, type of test, result and defect rectification are recorded in the app for every luminaire.
Which luminaires does the app work with?
With NOTLUX Series 19 luminaires and emergency drivers. Existing LED luminaires can be integrated via emergency drivers.
