Emergency lighting maintenance contract. Nothing left to worry about.
Test deadlines, batteries, repairs, logbook, inspections – with the NOTLUX maintenance contract it's all on us. Once a year we inspect on site, in year 5 to 6 we replace all batteries, and if something fails, we repair it. Your proof is always available in the app.
An emergency lighting maintenance contract means a specialist carries out the required tests under EN 50172, documents them and fixes defects. The NOTLUX maintenance contract includes one on-site inspection per year with function and duration test, replacement of all batteries in year 5 to 6, repairs during the term and the digital logbook with deadline monitoring. The operator stays responsible but no longer has to handle the work.
What the maintenance contract includes
A technician checks every luminaire: function, rated duration, visual inspection of luminaires and exit signs.
Batteries last at least 5 years and are wear parts. We replace all of them – no extra bill.
If something fails during the term, we fix it. No quotes, no orders, no surprises.
Every test with date, result and inspector – available any time and exportable as a report.
We monitor all test deadlines automatically and get in touch in time. Self-test luminaires also test themselves monthly.
Complete proof at the push of a button – for fire inspections, experts, insurers and health & safety.

Important: batteries: Batteries in emergency luminaires are wear parts: their capacity decreases over the years until the rated duration is no longer reached in an emergency. For NOTLUX luminaires we expect a battery life of at least 5 years. Batteries are therefore excluded from the product warranty – replacing all batteries in year 5 to 6 is part of the maintenance contract.

Frequently asked questions
What is an emergency lighting maintenance contract?
A contract with a specialist who carries out the required tests of emergency and safety lighting, documents them and fixes defects. The NOTLUX contract also includes replacing all batteries in year 5 to 6 and repairs during the term.
What does the NOTLUX maintenance contract include?
One on-site inspection per year with function and duration test and visual inspection, replacement of all batteries in year 5 to 6, repairs during the term, the digital logbook via app and automatic monitoring of all deadlines.
Is a maintenance contract mandatory?
No, nobody requires a contract. What is mandatory are regular tests and their documentation – a monthly function test and an annual full-duration test. A maintenance contract is the easiest way to meet these duties reliably.
Are the batteries covered by the warranty?
No. Batteries are wear parts and excluded from the product warranty. Replacing all batteries in year 5 to 6 is included in the maintenance contract.
How long do the batteries last?
For NOTLUX luminaires we expect at least 5 years. How fast a battery ages also depends on temperature and use – that's why we test the duration every year and replace all batteries in year 5 to 6.
What if a luminaire fails in between?
Self-test luminaires report faults, or simply give us a call. Repairs during the term are included in the maintenance contract.
How much does a maintenance contract cost?
It depends on the number and type of luminaires, the system and the building. After the free on-site survey you receive a quote with predictable costs – no surprises from battery replacement or repairs.
Do you take over existing systems?
Talk to us. During the free on-site survey we assess your existing system and tell you whether we can include it in the maintenance contract, upgrade it selectively or switch to Series 19 luminaires.
Does the contract cover several sites?
Yes. We look after single buildings as well as branch networks across Germany and Europe – with one contact and all logbooks in one app.
Is a digital logbook permitted?
Yes, a digital logbook is generally permitted if it is complete, traceable, protected against subsequent changes and available during inspections.
